After a year of some serious ups and downs, Jordyn Woods is finally figuring herself out. Well, she’s attempting to, anyway, and that’s all you can ask of someone, you know? The 21-year-old influencer got real about not knowing what to do next at this point in life — and how OK that really is.

“Everyone is trying to figure out what I’m doing but, to be honest, I don’t know what I’m doing. I’m finding my self-worth,” she said in an interview with Teen Vogue, published on August 22. “At 21, this is the very beginning, even though I feel so old. This is the time you figure out who you are, and don’t let anyone define you.”

In fact, she realizes that these struggles aren’t unique to her — every young person feels similarly at one time or another. “Identity is something everyone struggles with. Everyone wants to fit in and find their place, and it’s so hard sometimes,” she explained. “Everyone tries to be the same person because they don’t know who they are.”

Even if she isn’t totally sure of her identity and the mold she fits into quite yet, Jordy is definitely trying a lot of different vibes on for size. “I love hot girl summer,” the brunette beauty mused, hinting, of course, to her new and blossoming friendship with rapper Megan Thee Stallion, who coined the term. “But being a hot girl to me is about being intelligent too.”

Makes sense, considering college-educated Meg, 24, is also all about having brains. But no matter what she’s dealing with as life throws her curveballs, Jordy said she’s been prepped for it by her past.

“The toughest breakup I had to go through was losing my father,” she revealed to the outlet. “Everything doesn’t feel as intense as that. Losing my dad prepared me for everything that happens in life, and … life has thrown some really crazy things at me. That’s part of the process.”
