Sometimes all it takes is an A-lister hitting rock bottom for them to snap out of it! As it turns out, that’s seemingly what happened to Kanye West. OK, so it's not like the 41-year-old got a DUI or ended up incarcerated, but surely wanting President Donald Trump to be Chicago’s godfather was enough cause for concern.
Oh, and then there was the time he suggested slavery was a choice. Thankfully, that’s all behind him. "Kanye is very clear, super focused right now. The version of him today is very different than the one we saw a few weeks ago," a source close to the rapper told Us Weekly.
Question is, whom (or what) do we have to thank for Kanye’s sudden turnaround? "He’s focused on his craft right now and is excited [about] how much everyone is liking his new music," the source continued.
Of course, the insider is referring to Kanye’s highly regarded new albums. The Grammy winner has recently put out a total of five musical projects, including collaborations with Kid Cudi, Pusha T, and Nas.
However, it’s Kanye’s namesake album, Ye, that has yielded the most acclaim. In fact, nearly every member of the Kar-Jenner family has boasted about it on social media — namely Kanye's ever-supportive wife, Kim Kardashian.
In-between throwing her man killer parties, Kim is the first person to stand up and defend Kanye — especially when it comes to his creative vision. "Kanye will never run in the race of popular opinion and we know that and that’s why I love him and respect him," she tweeted. "In a few years when someone else says the same exact thing but they aren’t labeled the way he is, you will all praise them! Kanye is years ahead of his time."
