Khloé Kardashian Tearfully Admits That the Tristan Thompson Cheating Scandal ‘Breaks My Soul’
At her breaking point? Khloé Kardashian was reduced to tears on Keeping Up With the Kardashians amid the Tristan Thompson and Jordyn Woods cheating scandal. A teaser for the upcoming episode on June 30 shows how much the Good American designer struggled with the drama as she sobbed on screen.
“Emotionally, you have to be really, really strong for this environment that we’ve created,” the 34-year-old explained about having her entire life shown on reality television. “As much as these people hurt us, I also know that if this can make them better and if I can be that person then … Like, I know I’m strong enough to do that.”
KoKo is one powerful woman but the now-infamous tryst between Jordyn, 21, and the NBA player, 28, quickly became the center of conversation for the world. “It just sucks that it has to be so public,” the Revenge Body host cried. “Because no one understands how I’m not just a TV show, like, this is my life and it breaks my soul and it’s happened so many times.”
Later in the promo, Khloé is being consoled by Kim Kardashian. “Here’s the thing, I think that we’ve always taken the high road and I know you have these aggressions toward so many people that you trusted, [who] were in your life for so many years at a time,” the KKW beauty founder, 38, recalled about how much the recent scandal stung.
Kim noted that being surrounded by her friends and family might have gassed Khloé up and caused a stronger reaction. “It was the most f—ked up situation. It should’ve never happened that way. But, I think you just had had it on everyone taking advantage of you and I feel like being in Palm Springs and us getting you all worked up, just seeing all these different perspectives. I mean, I guess you have to go through the motions, it just sucks that it’s so public to go through it like that. And then it will, like, cause you to tweet and then you’re like, ‘S—t that’s not what I should’ve done.'”
Shortly after news of the infidelity broke, Jordyn appeared on Jada Pinkett Smith‘s Red Table Talk to tell her side of the story. She divulged that sex with the athlete “never happened” and summed up the incident by saying, “It was like a kiss on the lips, no tongue kiss, no making out, nothing.” The Instagram model also noted, “No, I’m not the reason that Tristan and Khloé are not together.”
This prompted Khloé to tweet directly after the interview: “Why are you lying [Jordyn Woods]?? If you’re going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, you ARE the reason my family broke up!” The reality starlet later softened what she said and added that Tristan is “equally to blame.”
Khloé continued in the promo, “Yeah, and I realized that the world took that so literally. Like, I would never blame solely one person for that. There’s a multitude of things so I feel bad. Even though Jordyn played a part, I do feel bad if anyone would think I was putting the sole blame on her because that’s not the truth. I only like to speak my truth.”
