One day. Nikki Bella opened up about being diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and her plans to have kids someday — possibly with her boyfriend, Artem Chigvintsev. However, she still has things she wants to accomplish in her professional life first, despite any worries about her fertility.

“It’s crazy; I was yearning for a baby for so long,” the 36-year-old confessed to Health during an interview published on December 16. Nikki and ex John Cena called off their wedding in April 2018 and went their separate ways after six years together. During that time, fans saw the brunette beauty extremely invested in having children with the pro wrestler — something he seemed reluctant about.

Nikki has watched first hand as her twin sister, Brie Bella, experienced motherhood with 2-year-old daughter Birdie Joe Danielson, whom she shares with husband Daniel Bryan (real name Bryan Danielson). Surprisingly, it’s given her a few reservations. “In a way, Brie has been a great form of birth control because I love my career. I know it’s the same for Brie,” the Total Bellas star admitted. “When I see her balancing our career with being a mom — it’s the most exhausting thing to watch.”

While she’s content with where life is taking her, the reality starlet acknowledged that she’s reminded constantly that time is ticking. “I definitely want to be a mom one day, but I don’t want it now. I’m in this unfortunate situation where I’m 36 and everyone is reminding me, ‘Your eggs, your eggs!’ So I’m freezing my eggs,” she explained. “I also found out I have PCOS — it kills your fertility. I’m getting brown spots all over my face, acne, weight fluctuations and hair loss.”

According to womenshealth.gov, PCOS affects one in 10 women of childbearing age. The condition is an “imbalance of reproductive hormones,” which can create “problems in the ovaries.” The Total Divas star revealed that she was upset by the diagnosis. “I actually just found out and was devastated,” she continued.” You research it, and there is no cure. I just pray I have some fertile eggs left and that I can still be a mom. So yes, I do feel like being a mom is in my future. I am just not sure how soon.”

We can always rely on the Bella twins to keep it real!
