There was speculation over Jordyn being Kangaroo since the season premiere on February 2. The Kangaroo’s description was a big indication.
“Like most of you watching, I’m a survivor,” the Kangaroo divulged at the time. “I recently lost a person who held my family’s heart together. Then, by my own admission, I found myself in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.”
That could’ve been Jordyn alluding to her dad John Woods’ death in 2017. Her dad worked as a sound engineer on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which would make sense as to why the Kangaroo had a gramophone in its clue package.
In terms of getting the wrong kind of attention, it’s hard to forget Jordyn was involved in a cheating scandal with Tristan Thompson, who at the time was in a relationship with Khloé Kardashian. Jordyn was best friends with Khloé’s younger sister Kylie Jenner, and she was also close with the entire Kardashian-Jenner family, but those friendships were broken after Jordyn’s involvement with Tristan, 29.
Thankfully, Jordyn seems to be in a good place now. “When everything happened to me, I had a reality check of what really matters in my life,” she told Forbes in February. “I learned that if you can find peace within yourself, you don’t need validation from anything or anyone. It’s really about being content with who you are when you go to sleep at night. That is true success to me.”
In addition, exercise helped the brunette beauty get through difficult times. “Working out is something that has helped me through everything,” she told the outlet at the time. “Through the grieving of my father, the scandals. It has been something that has helped me not only physically, but mentally and spiritually.”
Working out was her “crutch,” Jordyn exclusively told Life & Style in December 2019, adding that she advises anyone who’s going through something to do the same.
“[Instead of] dealing with therapy and everything, I just went to the gym, and so not only are you working on yourself to be better, but working up those stairs, that just increases your level for happiness and everything else,” she said.
Get it, girl!
