Meant to Be? ‘Bachelorette’ Contestant Garrett Has a Very Similar Personality to Hannah Brown
Could he be The One? Garrett Powell was the first one out of the limo on the Monday, May 13, episode of The Bachelorette. The handsome hunk introduced himself to Hannah Brown and revealed that he is also from Alabama — Birmingham to be exact. The blonde beauty went on to say that she loves hearing that southern twang after they spoke. SPOILER ALERT: Don’t continue to read if you don’t want to know what happens!
The 27-year-old is a pro-golfer and is looking to find love. “He’s really just a humble country boy enjoying life in Alabama,” read his ABC biography. “When he’s not practicing his putting on the green, he enjoys going to church, running and drinking beers with his friends.” Aw, it seems like these two would get along great!
So, how did Garrett get on the show? Well, his sister-in-law, Jessalin Powell, signed him up because she “saw so many similarities between him and Hannah,” the explainer said.
Of course, Jessalin had nothing but good things to say about Garrett. “I think he is very funny. He’s hilarious. He’s made me come to tears many, many times out of laughter,” she exclusively told Life & Style. “He is goofy in a lot of ways. He is really fun to be around. He will always lighten up a room. He has got a good set of values. He was raised to do things the right way, so he’s always been pretty respectful. He doesn’t really get into trouble.”
It doesn’t seem like Garrett has a type, but Jessalin thinks he “needs someone who is more relaxed, calm and who will let him lead and be a man.” Additionally, the reality star would make the perfect boyfriend and husband. “He has always been very dedicated in relationships. He has had long distance relationships where he would drive every weekend and would get back at 4 a.m, and he’d have to go to work at 5 a.m. just to see the girl. He is very dedicated, but he also needs someone who is equally dedicated to him and who is willing to do what it takes to make it work,” she dished.
According to Reality Steve, the southern gentlemen is dumped right before hometown dates (a.k.a. he is in the top five), which is unfortunate since it sounds like Garrett is ready for the next step.
“I know he is ready to get married,” Jessalin said. “He is the only single one in his family. He’s had serious relationships, and he’s just at the stage in his life where he’s grown up, he’s had his fun and is ready to move on in his life.”
We’re hoping that whether it’s with Hannah or someone else, Garrett scores a hole in one!
