‘Bachelor’ Alum Amanda Stanton’s Ex Bobby Jacobs Seemingly Shades Her on IG
Just two days after Bachelor alum Amanda Stanton and her boyfriend, Bobby Jacobs, confirmed their split after a year together, the professional volleyball player took to his private Instagram to share his feelings on the breakup — and he seemingly threw a little shade his ex’s way.
“This caption will in no way relate to this picture,” the 33-year-old captioned a photo with his dog posted on April 7. “Kinda like a female posting a risqué photo baring it all or a dude flexing for a shirtless selfie in the mirror and then they use motivational quotes as captions.”
After the not-so-subtle dig, he then went on to express his feelings about the aftermath of the breakup and the path toward moving on.
But first, he wanted to send love to those supporting him. “I just wanted to express my gratitude for everyone who has been so kind and respectful in this whole situation. It speaks volumes and it restores faith in humanity and a society of people who just want to be toxic and negative,” he wrote.
“No matter what you go through in life it’s always a constant learning process,” he concluded. “Life experience isn’t given easily and what it does to a person is make the exponentially wiser beyond their years. Like I said before … you never know what the future holds.”
To be honest, it does seem like his 28-year-old ex-girlfriend is the one who is actually having the more difficult time at the moment. Just two days prior to the announcement of the split, Amanda tearfully revealed that a hacker had stolen topless photos of her from her plastic surgeon’s office database. We can only imagine what she’s dealing with right now.
Thankfully, when a fan originally asked Bobby if the breakup had anything to do with the hacking situation, we were relieved with his answer. “I hope you didn’t leave Amanda because of the hacker situation,” read the fan comment, to which he responded, “Not at all,” according to Us Weekly. So Bachelor Nation doesn’t have to ~totally~ hate him now.
Despite the fact the couple has had their fair share of struggles — Amanda was arrested on a domestic violence charge during a fight with Bobby back in September 2018 — it is a bit of a bummer to see them split.
