The Transformation Diaries: See How Much Anne Hathaway Has Changed Over the Years

When it comes to beloved actresses in Hollywood, Anne Hathaway most definitely tops our list. Yes, part of it is because we will always see her as Amelia Mignonette Grimaldi Thermopolis Renaldo, Prin-CESS of Genovia, but that’s hardly the only reason. After all, Anne has transformed quite a bit since she was young — and we’re not just talking about the A-lister’s looks.

In 2001, audiences fell in love with Anne after playing Mia Thermopolis in The Princess Diaries. At the time, she was just 18 years old and yet, she could hold her own costarring in a film with Julie Andrews. Needless to say, she had quickly made a name for herself.

After that, Anne would go on to land other notable roles in movies like Ella Enchanted and Brokeback Mountain. It wasn’t until 2006, however, that she appeared in her next major part. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, we’re talking about The Devil Wears Prada.

The now-classic film is based on Lauren Weisberger’s novel of the same name and follows the life of Andy Sachs, played by Anne, and her monster boss, Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep. Honestly, if you haven’t seen this movie by now … we have no words for you. It’s a lesson in integrity, knowing your worth and of course, fashion!
