The happy couple tied the knot in a New York City courthouse in front of their closest friends on February 23. “Sooo, I have a surprise, I got married today,” the model announced via Instagram.

The pair made their official debut in Hollywood at the 33rd Annual Film Independent Spirit Awards before jetting off to Utah for a romantic honeymoon at the Amangiri Resort.

Emily shuts down critics during her appearance on Busy Tonight, saying, “We knew each other for a long time before and he likes to joke ‘yeah everyone thinks we got married quickly, but you vetted me for two years.’”

A New York Post report claimed that Sebastian owed a landlord more than $100 thousand in overdue rent. 

Em rushed to her husband’s defense tweeting, “I’m proud he’s fighting the good fight against a real estate conglomerate that bought the building he lives in for 40 million and has continued to spread misinformation on its tenants in order to profit. NYC has changed so much and it’s a shame that people who work in creative fields are being moved out of the city.”

The couple expanded their family with a puppy. “Everyone out here having babies (Kim, Megan, Amy) but we got a new special guy ourselves. It’s a boy! Meet Colombo,” she announced with a cute family photo on Instagram.

Sebastian was accused by BET’s style director Danielle Prescod of “[using] the n-word repeatedly.” 

He went on to apologize via Twitter writing, “I used a word casually like it was mine to use. It’s not, it never was, and never will be. In the past few years I’ve learned a lot about my privilege as a man and as a white person and about the history of racism in this country. Owning our missteps is a crucial part of changing the way the world operates. I’m embarrassed and ashamed and I sincerely apologize to everyone who I may have hurt.”

“When my husband and I tell friends that I’m pregnant, their first question after ‘Congratulations’ is almost always ‘Do you know what you want?’ We like to respond that we won’t know the gender until our child is 18 and that they’ll let us know then,” she wrote in an essay for Vogue.

Split rumors began swirling about Emily and Sebastian after she was photographed pushing a stroller in New York City without her wedding ring on July 14.

Going their separate ways. A source told Life & Style that the pair “are over” and that Emily is “holding it together for their son and staying strong.”

A source told In Touch that the reason for their split was because Sebastian allegedly cheated on Emily “multiple” times throughout their relationship. A second insider even claimed that the producer was unfaithful to the model when she was pregnant with their son, Sylvester, who was born in March 2021.

Neither party responded to Life & Style’s request for comment.

Moving on … literally. Emily was seen looking as fabulous as ever while moving her belongings out of Sebastian’s Manhattan apartment alongside hired help.

Emily filed for divorce at the Manhattan Supreme Court on September 8, according to online records viewed by Life & Style.

Emily and Sebastian were spotted in public together for the first time since their split, according to photos published by Daily Mail. The two smiled as they appeared to be in a coparenting hand-off of Sly in New York City.
