The Brazilian beauty dated the 1998 VH1 winner of top male model briefly in 1999. He took Gisele on his annual surfing trip to Costa Rica, and she fell in love with the stunning Central American country. She later built her dream beach home there.

She also took up yoga and meditation while cutting out sugar from her diet.

Gisele told the publication she felt “alone” while reevaluating her life, but she did not hold any ill will about her time with Leonardo. “Everyone who crosses our path is a teacher; they come into our lives to show us something about ourselves,” she said. “And I think that’s what he was. What is good versus bad? I honor him for what he was.”

Weeks after Gisele’s divorce from Tom was finalized in October 2022, she sparked relationship rumors with Joaquim after they were spotted together in Costa Rica. Although they don’t mind being spotted in public together, the couple has remained tight-lipped about their romance.

In October 2024, People reported that Gisele was pregnant and expecting her third child, which is her first with Joaquim. The following February, TMZ shared that the model and fitness instructor welcomed their baby.
