As the end of Colton Underwood‘s season of The Bachelor draws closer, fans have begun wondering who might lead the next season of The Bachelorette. That conversation got even more intense on February 11, as reports broke that contestant Katie Morton would confront Colton after allegedly hearing two of his other lovers, Cassie Randolph and Caelynn Miller-Keys discussing the possibility of being the next lead. Luckily, Cassie’s friend and Young Once co-star Tony Walsh, spoke exclusively to Life & Style about the possibility. Wondering how far Cassie makes it? See our spoilers, here!

First of all, Tony wants to dispel the idea that Cassie would go on the show specifically to ditch Colton and be the next star of The Bachelorette. “No. Something about Cassie doesn’t really make me think that,” he said. That being said, Tony thinks it might be a good idea for Cassie to do it if she was asked. “The idea of becoming the next Bachelorette and having an archive of men to choose from at your disposal doesn’t sound bad. I can see that. Why would you not want to be the Bachelorette? You’re the shining star of American television during primetime. I think it’s a smart move. Plus you have a selection. They are all trying to swoon you. That’s the American dream right there.”

While Tony understands that being the star would be a “great PR opportunity” for a model, he thinks Cassie’s original intentions for going on the show may have been to get closure from her last relationship with Caelan Tiongson. She dated the pro baller for five years on-and-off, and had recently ended things for good before going on The Bachelor. “She was dealing with a very complicated relationship that maybe she was trying to get out of, I’m not quite sure,” said Tony, who is friends with Caelan. “But if she was, this would have been something to give her closure for that.”

Regardless of Tony’s thoughts, many fans would love to see Cassie as the Bachelorette if things don’t work out with Colton. “I think Cassie is gonna win, but can she not so she can be the Bachelorette?” one fan wrote. “I want Cassie to win or at least be the next Bachelorette,” agreed another. A third wrote, “Cassie either gets proposed to or she becomes the next bachelorette. If neither of these happen, I’m never watching this show again. #TheBachelor.” We’re just gonna have to wait and see!
