‘MAFS’ Alum Jamie Otis Shares Sweet First Baby Bump Photo And Pregnancy Update
OMG, can you see it yet? Pregnant Married At First Sight alum Jamie Otis took to social media on Dec. 29, to share her very first baby bump pic after announcing her third pregnancy on Dec. 27.
“First baby bump pic,” she captioned a photo of her pointing to her still teeny belly and pulling up her red sweater. “[Eight] weeks yesterday!! We are so excited to be growing our family!!” Jamie, 32, even stylized and edited the pic, including a little sticker declaring the baby is currently as big as a raspberry. No wonder why her bump is still little!
The former Bachelor contestant and her husband, Doug Hehner, revealed on a new Christmas Day episode of their Hot Marriage Cool Parents podcast that they are expecting their third child, before Jamie took to her Instagram to share with her fans and followers.
“So excited to finally share the news that we’re PREGNANT,” she captioned a series of two Instagram vids with her husband and 16-month-old daughter, Henley, containing her announcement. “I also want to be sensitive to all the mama’s who have been [trying to conceive] but are struggling. The road to conception wasn’t easy for us and I know there’s [an] involuntary pain that sneaks up on you when it seems like everyone and their sister is getting pregnant but you.”
The couple, who got married in March 2014 after meeting on Married At First Sight, have had a notoriously difficult time getting pregnant. Jamie suffered a devastating miscarriage in July 2016, losing a son named Johnathan. Back in September, the reality star revealed that she had an early miscarriage due to a chemical pregnancy.
Considering Jamie’s long history of pregnancy complications, we’re so glad this reality babe is expecting once again! It truly proves the age old saying, “Good things come to those who wait.” We know it couldn’t have been easy, but we’re just glad they stuck it out. Congrats, guys!
