Love saves! There must be at least some truth to the adage, because it definitely saved Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel on Dec. 16, when she had a near-death experience with some raw fish due to a rare and severe allergy. When the RHONY star took to social media to explain what happened to her, she also let fans and followers in on some pretty telling information about her new boyfriend’s role in the incident.

When Bethenny took to Twitter to let fans in on the sitch, she got pretty candid about how she was feeling overall. “Not since all the relief work, Dennis’ passing & filming a season have I hit the wall. Today was that day. Still cannot move from bed,” she tweeted about feeling overwhelmed by not only her allergic reaction, but ex-boyfriend Dennis Shields’ passing over the summer. And naturally, the stresses of a reality show don’t exactly make things easier, I’m sure.

But when a fan replied to her tell-all post, “Don’t forget you have a new boyfriend too,” Bethenny didn’t hold back about the role he’s played in her story recently. “He saved my life,” she replied to the fan. Clearly, Bethenny has a lot of love for her new BF — 41-year-old film producer Paul Bernon — in the wake of her allergy incident. Plus, he’s even met Bethenny’s eight-year-old daughter, Bryn, already. So we’re really glad she was with someone she trusted in her time of need.

Post-allergic reaction, Bethenny seems to be resting up well at home, according to her Instagram. The Bravo star took to her stories to post a snap of her television while watching the new Ellen DeGeneres special on Netflix (“@Netflix As if you don’t already know I LOVE you, @theellenshow”), and another of her sweet little dogs.

You can just tell she’s taking it easy and doing her best to recoup. Rest up, Bethenny. It’s been a tough one!
