What a week! Some strong connections are already starting to form between Colton Underwood and his lovely contestants. Unfortunately, love and rejection go hand-in-hand in the series and girls must be eliminated each episode. So, who went home this week on The Bachelor? We said goodbye to seven contestants.

Although only one episode has aired, many ladies stood out from the crowd while others got lost in the mix. Caelynn Miller-Keyes snagged the first kiss, Hannah Godwin scored the first impression rose, and the former football player seemed smitten with a handful of other contestants. However, some women had to be sent packing.

During the first rose ceremony on Jan. 7, Revian Chang, Erin Landry, Tahzjuan Hawkins, Devin Gooden, Alex Dillion, Laura Pellerito, and Jane Aver were eliminated.

While Colton says he’s ready to find love, he did admit that the show isn’t for marriage. Wait…what? “Of course, you want it to end in marriage, [but] it’s for a proposal,” the 26-year-old told reporters. “It’s typical to fall in love, and to find your person, to spend time developing a relationship and spending time on a relationship and on your personal life. And that’s exactly what I did.”

Colton hasn’t confirmed or denied if he’s engaged, but he’s not backing down from making it his own journey. “I wanted to make sure that I did things my way, and I know that sounds sort of brutal to say, but because there has been a format to this show, and there has been success attached, for a reason, but everybody loves differently,” he confessed. “Everybody goes through this process differently, and I’m included in that.”

Hmmm…well, however the journey ends, we’re going to see a lot of drama along the way.
