Early last month, an auto-tune-free version of one of Britney Spears’ songs hit the web — and let’s just say it wasn’t pretty.
Hey, we all have our bad days, right? And Brit Brit is only human after all.

It turns out the Queen of Pop doesn’t always sound so bad without retouching. A raw version of her hit “Work B**ch” recently surfaced, and while it’s obvious the final version was still massively edited, it’s considerably better than the “Alien” track leaked about a month ago - although let's be honest, there is more talking than singing in this one!
Shortly after the embarrassing cut made its way onto the Internet, the track’s producer, William Orbit, and Brit’s Crossroads co-star Zoe Saldana came to her defense.
Orbit claimed it was a warm-up take while the Guardians of the Galaxy actress sang the 32-year-old’s praises.
“She was the one big, big celebrity that I met when I was starting to work in Hollywood who literally was humble,” the pregnant beauty told Andy Cohen when he asked her about the auto-tune incident on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live.
Zoe added she has a “huge amount of respect for Britney Spears.”
“I do believe that people and children gravitate to good energy, and she’s definitely an abundance of that,” she continued.
Brit appreciated the star’s kind words, and even took to Twitter to thank her:
