Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are taking the term marriage to a whole new level.
A new report claims the duo are planning to have not one, but THREE weddings this year — once in Southern California and twice in France.
A source alleges their lawyers recommended they hold a civil ceremony in the United States before tying the knot in Versailles on May 24.

“Typically, the U.S. recognizes citizens getting married in France, but dealing with a foreign government and paperwork could be a nightmare,” the source tells RadarOnline.
“So just to make sure it’s legal, Kim and Kanye will first be having a civil ceremony in Southern California.”
Once they're done with that, the pair will be France bound for their big nuptials. They recently scouted the 17th-century, Louis XIV-commissioned Chateau de Louveciennes as a possible location for the event.
But French law dictates two wedding ceremonies must take place.
“A religious ceremony has to be performed after a civil ceremony, never before,” the French Embassy in Washington D.C. explains to the outlet. “The minister, priest or rabbi will require a certificate of civil marriage before any religious ceremony takes place.”
French law also stipulates at least one member of the couple must live in the country for a minimum of 40 days before they can legally wed in the country, which might prove to be a big dilemma for the duo.
“All marriages must be performed by a French civil authority before any religious ceremony takes place. The mayor can authorize the deputy mayor or a city councilor to perform the ceremony in the town in which one of the parties to be married has resided for at least 40 days preceding the marriage. The requirements can not be waived.”
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s Friend Angie Martinez Dishes on Their Upcoming Wedding
Kanye, 36, has a home in Paris, but doesn’t live in the city of light full-time. He did, however, cancel the Australian leg of his Yeezus tour and some fans are speculating he did so in order to temporarily live in Paris to prep for the big day.
That wouldn’t come as such a surprise considering the rapper wants the nuptials to be perfect.
Life & Style recently spoke with Hot 97 radio personality Angie Martinez, who is a very good friend of the couple’s.
“I think both of them are super creative people, and I think Kanye is not going to do probably what everybody would expect,” she tells Life & Style about North West’s parents. “He’s going to want to do something a little different.”
Angie believes in grand Kanye tradition, the rapper hopes to “look back on this as an iconic moment 20 years from now. I know that’s how his brain works.”
