Kim Kardashian’s chaotic delivery day finally aired on last night’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
After building up to the joyous event all season, drama surrounded Kim as she unexpectedly gave birth to daughter North West five weeks earlier than planned due to medical issues. The bombshell found out she suffered from toxemia, which is when a pregnant woman develops high blood pressure and protein in the urine during the late second or third trimester.
Kim broke the news to her sister Khloé.
“Basically, I have to deliver the baby today,” she said calmly. Momager Kris Jenner, however, was anything but calm. She went into full panic mode and insisted that she only take the mom-to-be to the hospital.
Khloé went over to Kourtney’s house, where the two waited patiently for the news.
“I’m completely scared for Kim,” Khloé said to the camera. “I’m trying to keep my cool.”
Once Kris told them to pop over to the hospital, Khloé began filming the experience on her camera phone. She told the baby how excited she is to meet her, explaining that dad Kanye West was on a plane about to land and would “freak” when he found out what was going on.
Unlike sister Kourtney, Kim did not allow her delivery to be filmed. When North made her big arrival, the cameras cut to Khloé telling Bruce Jenner the big news and that Kim and Kanye were absolutely in awe of their little girl.
Kim ended up spending an extra day in the hospital because North suffered from a little jaundice and had to spend the night in an incubator.
Outside the hospital, grandma Kris was busy prepping her house for the baby. She was stressing out because it was far from ready as the family wasn’t expecting North for at least another month.
When the new family finally checked out, Kim opened up about the birth.
“Labor was honestly the easiest thing ever,” said the TV personality, who noted that her vagina “looks better than before.”
She added, “And then just staring at her, I’m like, ‘Oh my God.’ Everything that they say happens – that you fall in love and it’s this deep connection – is true.”
The new mom also revealed that she will not have North on the show in the future. “I signed on to do this, but it doesn’t mean Kanye and my child have signed on, and I’m fine with keeping them more private,” she said.
One thing that isn’t off the table? Posing for Playboy again.
“I just want to come out to the world like, ‘I am back and I’m so hot. You all called me a while!’” she exclaimed.
Kanye and Kim got engaged on her 33rd birthday, Oct. 21 — four months after they welcomed North.
