Kanye West's proposal to Kim Kardashian included fireworks, champagne, and a Jumbotron, but there was one thing missing - singer Lana Del Rey, whom Kanye invited to sing her song "Young and Beautiful" at the event. Lana wasn't able to make it, so an orchestra did an instrumental version of her song instead.
Now, some are alleging that Lana flat out said no to being part of Kimye's special moment. TMZ caught the "Video Games" singer out and about in Hollywood last night. When asked about the proposal invite, she said simply, "I would never deny his request."

Hmmm, what does that mean? It's possible that Kanye didn't speak to Lana directly to ask her to be there - a rep or agent could have called her, or perhaps a mutual friend. Or it's possible that Lana was busy that day or wouldn't be able to arrive in time and just doesn't want to make a big deal about it. And it seems like Kanye isn't mad - he's focusing his energy on suing YouTube founder Chad Hurley for taping the proposal and leaking it online. The couple were hoping to save the footage for Kim's family's reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Either way, it's a big compliment for Lana to have her song (which has the chorus "Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?/I know you will") as the theme song for Kimye's love story. The song has already appeared on the soundtrack for Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan's flick The Great Gatsby. Does this mean we'll ever see a musical collaboration between Lana and Kanye?
