Demi Lovato Reveals She’s ‘Never’ Been ‘This Happy Before’ on Her 27th Birthday
Looking good, girl! Demi Lovato seems to be in a great place and revealed in a candid video during the early hours of August 20 that she’s ready to take on this new year. The singer started her birthday celebration one day earlier when she attended Ariana Grande‘s concert in London surrounded by her inner circle, including manager Scooter Braun. It sounds like Demi has some spectacular plans lined up as she rings in the next year.
“It’s my birthday! I’m so happy. I’ve literally never woken up this happy before in my life,” the newly minted 27-year-old gushed in an Instagram Story video. “I’m doing something today that I haven’t done in a long ass time.” She didn’t divulge what the activity was, but hopefully, it’s something unforgettable.
The “Sorry Not Sorry” artist also mentioned attending the Sweetener/Thank U, Next tour. Although her mom and close relatives couldn’t make it, she loves her team. “I had my new family there and that is priceless, as well,” she added.
It’s awesome to see Demi living her best life after a near-fatal overdose during summer 2018. Now, she’s working on getting back to her “creative self.” A source recently dished to In Touch, “She’s writing songs, working out, meditating and just filling her path, and of course being sober … She feels like her last relapse was an an eye-opener and a reminder that she needs to stay diligent and work her sobriety program.”
This year is looking much brighter and the pop star is feeling grateful. “OK, last one before bed,” she captioned a black and white video of her pals singing “Happy Birthday” as she blew out the candles. “They literally filmed/sang happy birthday twice and [Scooter Braun] STILL forgot to press record … [Ariana Grande’s] face is everything and this video is a perfect glimpse of how f—king happy and rad my birthday is this year. So so happy. And I love my new family. Thank you guys, love you.”
Other famous friends of the “Daddy Issues” songstress flooded the comments to help her celebrate. Nikita Dragun wrote, “Happy birthday my queen,” while celebrity photographer Alfredo Flores added, “The best year of your life!!! Welcome to 27!!” Ashley Graham echoed, “Happy birthday beauty!”
