I only watch the Super Bowl for its commercials and halftime show. I’m not ashamed to admit that.
Call me lame, a typical girl, or whatever, but watching a bunch of dudes in tight pants tackle each other was never my thing (unless Tom Brady is shirtless, then perhaps I’d give it a thought).
I am, however, a massive Britney Spears fan, so when the pop star’s surprise commercial popped up on screen for 10 seconds, I — like the rest of the Britney Army — nearly choked on my dip-covered chip.
Not much happened in the 10-second commercial, just the 33-year-old singer humming while applying eye black strips — New Orleans Saints themed ones. At the end, the hashtag #SuperBowlRally appears. WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN??? We’ll probably find out soon enough, but it still gave me a panic attack for the rest of the game. (Who even won??? JUST KIDDING, GUYS.)
And I wasn’t alone. See the best reactions below.
(P.S. Kim Kardashian attempted to make people go berserk with her T-Mobile ad, but yeah…it didn’t work. #SorryNotSorryGirl #BritneyReignsSupreme.)
(P.P.S. My guess is she's going to be next year's Super Bowl halftime show performer. I. Will. FLIP.)
That 3 second Britney Spears commercial gave me hope for the future. #SuperBowl— Lauren Reeves (@laurenreeves) February 2, 2015
That awkward moment when a 10 second video of Britney Spears saves the entire Super Bowl.— Mathias (@britneyspeans) February 2, 2015
