Chase Chrisley Met New Girlfriend Emmy ‘a Couple Years of Ago’: ‘I Had Some Growing Up to Do’
It was all about timing for Chase Chrisley and his new girlfriend, Emmy Medders. “I met her a couple of years ago, but I think that I just had some growing up to do,” he exclusively tells Life & Style.
The couple became Instagram official on July 5, and things have been going very well for them. “As far as she and I go, we’re taking things slow,” the 24-year-old Chrisley Knows Best star shares. “We’re not in a rush to do anything. We’re enjoying each other’s company and learning more about each other and kind of just taking it day by day. I’m definitely not engaged, that’s for sure!”
While Chase is no stranger to dating, his relationship with Emmy seems to be the real deal for a number of reasons. “I think she’s the first girl I’ve ever been with that really makes me want to be a better version of myself, and I want to be as good as I can be so I can do that for her. And that’s a huge change for me and not to mention my entire family adores her so everything is kind of moving along smoothly.”
Chase’s dad, Todd Chrisley, recently gave his seal of approval when he commented on a photo of the pair. “Be still my heart,” he wrote. When one follower replied, “Oh snap! We got a Todd ‘like,'” the businessman had the best response. “I don’t give those ‘likes’ easily, my friend,” he replied.
Todd wasn’t too crazy about Chase’s first girlfriend, Brooke Noury, and he made it clear. “Listen, I’m not gonna say anything bad about anyone. If I don’t like ya, I don’t like ya,” he revealed on Chrisley Knows Best in 2018. “But my child, Chase, is broken-hearted over the fact that he’s single from someone that none of us like. I’m not going to lie to you, that gives me great comfort.”
Chase’s last girlfriend before Emmy was Kayla Puzas. However, they weren’t meant to be. “I think that like I decided to hold myself accountable for my actions and take my part in it,” he says. “I just had to grow up honestly and realize what was important to me and what I really wanted out of a partner and what I wanted for a future. And once I figured that out it was just making changes and adapting.”
