“The medication that they’ve been giving me, they put me into menopause,” she told the Safely cofounder. “Literally into menopause.”

In March 2022, an insider close to the duo told Life & Style that Kourtney and Travis were serious about getting pregnant since their relationship solidified. They wanted to expand their blended family sooner, rather than later, and that included having a baby before they wed.

“Kourt has been trying to get there the natural way, but she’s also looking at IVF, but their close friends and family are all aware it’s in the works and that it’s just a matter of time before she conceives,” the insider said at the time.

“Both of them are certain it’s the right path,” the source continued. “Kourt just melts seeing how great Travis is with his own kids and he’s been a model gentleman with her and Scott’s too, they just adore him.”

That’s real,” Travis told GQ in November 2022. “And there’s however many millions of dudes that have to go give their semen for this same procedure. So it’s, like, relatable, you know? I’ve never been fazed by any of that.”

One month later, Kourtney told fans that she “finally started getting my energy back 10 months after IVF,” in a December 2022 Instagram Stories post. “For anyone else going through it, it gets better!”

What Has Kourtney Kardashian Said About IVF?

Kourtney has been vocal about the changes IVF caused in her body, even clapping back at critics who kept asking if she was pregnant well after her fertility journey was halted.

After posing for a carousel of photos posted in a since-deleted Instagram post, Kourtney shut down rumors that she was pregnant after a follower commented on her curves.

“Is she pregnant?” the commenter questioned, prompting Kourtney to directly respond. “The after affects of IVF (I only acknowledge this comment bc I do think it’s important to know how IVF affects women’s bodies and it’s not spoken about much) … also are we still asking women if they’re pregnant?” she clapped back, proving that she has no time for critics.

Even still, Kourtney highlighted how her body changed thanks to fertility treatments while paying tribute to pal Natalie Ento on her birthday.  “A little IVF body,” she wrote via Instagram Stories while posting the pic of her and the gals in bikinis, making it clear that she had no qualms with her changing figure.

During the season 3 premiere of The Kardashians in May 2023, Kourtney revealed that she and Travis “are officially done with IVF” and they will only have children if a baby is conceived naturally.

“We would love a baby more than anything, but I just really believe in what God has in store for us. If that’s a baby then I believe that it will happen,” she said during a confessional.

Kourtney revealed that the process suffered a major setback when the eggs she had frozen before marrying Travis were no longer viable.

“Before Travis, when I was 38 or 39, everyone was like pushing me to do that and most of mine didn’t survive the thaw because eggs are one cell and none of them made it to an embryo,” the reality star explained. She added that “the freezing of the eggs isn’t guaranteed” and “people do it thinking it’s like a safety net and then it’s not,” when it comes time to wanting children.
