The sex tape that started it all for the Kardashians is back in the spotlight — and Kris Jenner isn't going to be happy when she hears why!
Almost nine years after Kim Kardashian made her X-rated debut alongside ex-boyfriend Ray J, the momager is being accused of deliberately leaking the now infamous tape to make her daughter famous.
According to Page Six, the new tell-all, Kardashian Dynasty, reveals, "It was Kris who engineered the deal behind the scenes and was responsible for the tape seeing the light of day."
Along with claiming the 60-year-old was the mastermind behind the sex tape going public, the book also alleges Kim "discussed the idea of producing a tape with her family beforehand."
The author of the book, Ian Halperin, even went undercover to ask Vivid Entertainment, the company behind Kim Kardashian, Superstar, about celebrity sex tapes.
“When it comes to . . . selling a sex tape, both parties need to sign off," a rep for Vivid is quoted as saying in the book. "I can tell you right now. Kim Kardashian’s movie came out in ’07, and she’s made millions."
However, a rep for Kim says “all the assertions are false.”
The 35-year-old reality star spoke out about the video following her nude selfie controversy earlier this month, writing on her blog, "A sex tape that was made 13 years ago. 13 YEARS AGO. Literally that lonnng ago. And people still want to talk about it?!?!
"I lived through the embarrassment and fear, and decided to say who cares, do better, move on," she continued. "I shouldn't have to constantly be on the defense, listing off my accomplishments just to prove that I am more than something that happened 13 years ago."
