Taylor Swift: Chart topper, heartbreaker — and best friend.
In the new issue of Nylon magazine, Selena Gomez gets candid about her personal life following her very public break up with Justin Bieber. And if there’s anyone who knows a thing or two about healing after a failed relationship, it’s Taylor.
“We both experienced the same thing at the same time,” Selena explains about her friendship with the "I Knew You Were Trouble" songstress. “But we’ve never once talked about our industry. She just became the person I’d go to for an issue with my family or boyfriend. It’s so hard to trust girls, so I’m lucky to have her.”
The pair definitely have a lot to talk about these days—both are currently going through splits. As Life & Style reported, Taylor and One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles called it quits after two months of dating.

So how is the Monte Carlo actress coping post-split?
“I’m having fun,” the 20-year-old shares. “At the end of the day, love is such a normal thing, and everyone deals with it. Just because it’s a different lifestyle doesn’t change the meaning of what I’ve been raised on, which is fairy tales.”

The past year has brought many new obstacles her way. Along with her split, Selena is breaking away from her good girl image. The brunette beauty will star in the upcoming flick Spring Breakers alongside Vanessa Hudgens and James Franco—and it’s unlike any role she’s ever done before.
“I’ve told parents, ‘Make sure you don’t let your kids see Spring Breakers,’ because with the title, you could think it would be cute or something,” she says. “I know it isn’t for the younger generation I have following me, but I’m also about to be 21. I felt like it was my little side project that I was super excited about, that would be under the radar.”
