When it comes to Mike Sorrentino’s “situation,” his Jersey Shore co-stars definitely have his back. Though Mike is currently facing some prison time come 2019, his MTV co-star Vinny Guadagnino recently revealed how much all the “roommates” are supporting Mike in his time of need.

“We all love [Mike], I love him, we’re all thinking about him,” Vinny told Us Weekly at the 2018 Jingle Ball in NYC, on Dec. 7, while adding that the entire cast is “keeping him close to [our] hearts.” The well wishes for Mike come as he gets ready to serve an eight-month-long prison sentence for tax evasion, starting in mid-January 2019. Though Mike doesn’t exactly have the longest sentence, the idea of heading to the slammer is still a pretty daunting prospect.

Recently, Life & Style caught up with Vinny exclusively to talk about how he sees Mike dealing with the hard reality of prison time. Spoiler alert: Vinny was confident that Mike will be just fine. “Mike is the strongest person that we all know. His recovery from substances has led him to be in this like bulletproof mind state that he’s just able to take on all these challenges,” Vinny revealed on Nov. 30. “He’s the most positive guy in the house and he still does that up until this moment. Like, I’m not even joking. I’m like, what can break this guy? You know, he’s human. You know, it’s going to be tough, but at the same time, like he’s the one to handle it.” Well said, Vin!

Anyone who is a fan of Jersey Shore and the subsequent spin-off Jersey Shore Family Vacation knows that Mike has really done a complete 180 since he cleaned up his act and got sober. Between his new-found sense of responsibility, his willpower to stay sober in the face of a night at the club, and even his eternal commitment to his college sweetheart, Lauren Pesce, in the form of marriage, Mike is kind of a whole new dude.

If anyone can make it through in one piece, it’s the Sitch.
