As Kate Gosselin pushes her young children back on air with her latest reality show, Kate Plus 8, former child star Corey Feldman tells Life & Style that exposing children on TV at such a young age may cause irreparable harm. In an exclusive interview with Life & Style, Corey--who was nearly destroyed by the demons of drug abuse and lost his best friend, fellow child star Corey Haim--warns about the lifetime of struggles that may be ahead for the Gosselin children.
For child stars, "there's no finding yourself," Corey warns. "You're famous before you know your own name. People are asking you for autographs and you don't even know how to write. Children shouldn't be faced with that." And while Kate will go to any lengths for the fame she craves, her children don't have a choice in the matter.
If Corey could give Kate advice, he'd tell her what he says to anyone who asks him for help breaking their kids into showbiz. "I tell people not to do it," he tells Life & Style. "It's the biggest mistake you'll ever make."
