Breakups are always difficult, but Katy Perry admits that she went through a tough time during her divorce from Russell Brand. The "Teenage Dream" singer opened up to Billboard magazine, confessing that there were points during the breakup where she asked herself "should I continue living?"
The 28-year-old singer wrote several songs about her split from the British comedian on her new album, Prism.

"All the songs are real-life moments," Katy told Billboard magazine. "I can only write autobiographically. I put all the evidence in the music. I always tell my fans if they want to know the real truth about stuff, just listen to the songs."
Though the lead single "Roar" is fun and upbeat, other album tracks like "Ghost" hint at sadder times.
