With the Super Bowl just five days away, the fun events leading up to the big day in Indianapolis begin on Wednesday, Feb. 1 and Life & Style has learned that while Katy Perry will be in town to perform, so will her ex-boyfriend Travie McCoy!
Katy will perform at DIRECT TV's "Invite Only" Super Saturday Night party hosted by Mark Cuban's HDNet and Peyton Manning on Feb. 4 and Travie is not only set to perform at the Wishing on Stars event on Feb. 1, but also at the Coors Light Silver Bullet Lodge party on Feb. 3.
The pair dated for several years before the pop songstress married Russell Brand. She even wore a promise ring that Travie gave to her during their relationship.
"She got engaged so quickly after," the Gym Class Heroes front man has said about his time with Katy. "I was like, 'Really?' I had to sit back and reassess what was really going on. After you have some time to start thinking about it, you start putting things together."
In 2010, Katy apparently wrote a song off her Teenage Dream album, "Circle the Drain", about her relationship with Travie: "You think you're so rock and roll / But you're really just a joke."
Katy and Travie called off their relationship in December 2008. She first met Russell in the summer of 2008 when she filmed a cameo appearance for his film Get Him to the Greek. They began dating after meeting again in September 2009 at the MTV Video Music Awards and got engaged three months later, marrying in October 2010. After 14 months of marriage, Russell filed for divorce from Katy in December 2011.
