On last night's episode of Tori Spelling's reality show "True Tori" — which Life & Style live-tweets weekly — one of the main topics of conversation was Tori and husband Dean McDermott's current money troubles.
While the "Beverly Hills, 90210" star claims she's living "paycheck-to-paycheck," an E! source reveals it's because the couple have "gone through $18 million since they've been together."
The mother-of-four, who is the daughter of late TV producer Aaron Spelling, shed more than a few tears during the episode over the prospect of having to change her lavish lifestyle.
"Why should we have to?" she sobbed. "My dad wouldn't have wanted this."
But the source says the 41-year-old refuses any help. "Candy [Tori's mother] has offered to pay for the kids' schools many times, but Tori has never accepted her offer."
The mother-daughter duo has had a famously tense relationship. They were estranged for many years after Tori inherited just $800,000 of her father's whopping $600 million fortune following his death in 2006.
But the actress, whose ABC Family series "Mystery Girls" was recently canceled, openly admitted to the mistakes she's made in the 2013 book, "The High Life."
"It's no mystery why I have money problems. I grew up rich beyond anyone's dreams. I never knew anything else," she wrote.
"Even when I try to embrace a simpler lifestyle I can't seem to let go of my expensive tastes. And then there's my shopping problem. I've bought ridiculous amounts of stuff for the kids, clothing, toys, crafts."
Wowza. As if this couple didn't have enough drama already.
