<p><span></span><em>Dancing With the Stars</em> contestant <strong>Niecy Nash</strong> has been adamant about not wanting to slim down and lose her jiggly parts while performing on the show. But that wasn't the case five years ago when Niecy managed to drop a whopping 50 pounds -- going from a size 14 to a size 6. Her secret? Controlling portions on a 1,200-calorie-per-day diet and leading a more active lifestyle. <br />
"I didn't have a traditional workout plan," Niecy told Life & Style in an exclusive interview. "I have three children, so I couldn't work two full-time jobs, then come home and go to the gym for two hours. I ate sensibly and would hula-hoop when I watched TV with my kids. We'd go skating on Saturdays, ride our bikes in the neighborhood and have dance contests."
Now that she's fluctuating between a size 8 and 10, Niecy allows herself more indulgences. "All this dancing and running around -- I deserve a cookie," says Niecy, who also appears on The Insider. "If I ever feel I'm getting too big for my own comfort level, I go back to counting calories."
