Even show host Chris Harrison exclusively admitted to Life & Style that “a lot of” the 28-year-old’s contestants have the “title” of villain this season. “I don’t know if there’s just one that stuck out as being the villain,” he added while promoting his partnership with Coin Master.
After fantasy suite dates, Peter confessed that he was in love with all three of his final contestants. He first told Madi that he was falling in love with her before hometowns, and also dropped the heavy phrase while meeting Hannah Ann’s family in Knoxville. Following his overnight date with Victoria F., the leading man said that he had fallen for her, too. Um, yikes.

Madison’s (Kind of) Ultimatum
The Alabama native revealed to Peter that she is a virgin and saving herself for marriage during fantasy suite week. Prior to that, she tried to explain her stance on sex, and she hoped that he would not sleep with anyone else if he was planning on proposing to her. However, their communication was bumpy and their conversation ended with Madison saying that “actions speak louder than words.” Her expectations of the leading man weren’t super clear but that could also have been due to editing.
“Growing up, I made a commitment to myself, and I decided that I wanted to save myself for marriage,” Madi explained about her virginity during their following date. “For me, I see it as the day that I say ‘I do’ to the person I want to spend the rest of my life with is the day that he is getting all of me — body, soul and spirit. I am his. I look at relationships and not both people are going to make the same life decisions, and I don’t expect that for you or anybody.”
However, Peter confessed that he had been “intimate” with someone else, which rattled his relationship almost to the breaking point.

This Awkward Magic
The devil works hard but Bachelor producers work harder. For the first time ever, all three of the final contestants lived under the same roof. Yes, during fantasy suites. Yes, after Madi asked Peter not to sleep with anyone else. Yes, it was crazy.
“There are things we do as producers that force situations that need to be forced. This Madison relationship needed to come to a head,” Chris Harrison explained to Entertainment Tonight about the decision. “Clearly, there were things that need to be spoken of, and [she and Peter] are not good at speaking!” Peter and his contestants have had poor communication the entire journey, and that wasn’t lost on the producers. “This is the season of not articulating thoughts and feelings,” Chris added. “Yes, it was awkward, but it was something that needed to be forced.”
“I heard someone in the crowd yell ‘homewrecker’ at Victoria,” an eyewitness exclusively told Life & Style about the dramatic hometown date. “That’s all everyone was talking about. No one in the crowd seemed to be a fan of hers.”
Peter did not meet Victoria’s family that night, but she later came to his hotel room to talk things out. She was given a rose at the following ceremony in lieu of Kelsey Weier, which secured her spot for overnight dates.

Tammy Takes a Turn
Tammy seemed like the most real chick all season, but the drama got the best of her. She tried to throw many of her fellow contestants under the bus — from Mykenna Dorn to Kelsey, but it caused her relationship with the pilot to go off-course.
The flight attendant was sent home during a two-on-one date with Mykenna, who was also sent packing during the following rose ceremony.

“Maybe He’ll Be Singing at Our Wedding”
Peter was feeling the spark with Victoria F. on their first one-on-one date while they danced to a live Chase Rice concert. However, everyone else was cringing because the country crooner was the ex-boyfriend of the brunette beauty. The VB native eventually came clean to Peter, and he was relatively cool about the whole situation. However, Chase later spoke on the incident and was less than impressed.
“It’s over the top, it’s unnecessary. I didn’t expect it,” the singer said during an appearance on Fitz in the Morning radio show on January 27. “But at the end of the day, it happened. I don’t know if it’s the producers or if they just got lucky. I know what I think, but I’ll let everybody else figure out what they think.”

Hurricane Kelley
Kelley Flanagan was the most laidback contestant … until it came down to the wire. The lawyer was in the top five ladies and had a three-on-one date with Victoria F. and Hannah Ann. However, she was a bit too confident. “Peter has an easy decision, the other girls are children,” she said in a private interview. Awwwkward.

Double Trouble
Alayah Benavidez was eliminated by Peter after the contestants rallied around the idea that she wasn’t there ~for the right reasons.~ The contestant returned during a group date in Cleveland, Ohio, to defend herself, and the pilot invited her back to the house. This caused such an uproar among the other ladies that she was sent home again.

Victoria P. and Alayah’s Shady Friendship
This was … confusing. Peter and fans had one question about these two beauty queens: Are you friends, yes or no?
The entire house seemed to turn on Alayah but the final nail in the coffin came from Victoria Paul. She claimed that Alayah asked her not to tell producers that they knew each other going into the show. Victoria claimed that she didn’t know Alayah well, and they had only “collectively” spent a few hours together. However, when the former Miss Texas returned after being eliminated, she revealed that the two ladies had taken a trip to Las Vegas together and were actually quite close. When Peter confronted Miss Louisianna, she said she was “telling her truth.” But … there is one truth, right? However, it didn’t seem like either lady was telling it.

The Mysterious Maple Syrup
We were all minding our business watching The Bachelor until a bottle of maple syrup randomly appeared on the table during a cocktail party. Apparently, Mykenna walked in the room carrying it, but there was no mention of the sticky nectar before it disappeared.

The Faces Seen Round the World
Mykenna might possibly be the most animated person who has ever been on the franchise. Her facial expressions became the most meme-able moments all season, and we will forever remember her.

Sydney’s Off-Screen Drama
Sydney Hightower fell into some drama in the house, but the real chaos happened off-screen. The Alabama native slammed a former high school classmate on Twitter after they discredited her story about experiencing racism in high school and “eating lunch in a bathroom stall” every day.
“I’ve been through so much from the town I grew up in and will not allow my story — or others — to be [diminished] because of one of the same girls, with the same mindsets, as the people who terrorized me. Not happening,” the contestant wrote along with a screengrab of a lengthy message she sent to the troll.

Champagne-Gate
Kelsey made it all the way to hometowns and ended up capturing Bachelor Nation’s heart because of her openness. Prior to that, she entered the show with a bang after an explosive fight with Hannah Ann over a bottle of champagne. The drama made viewers roll their eyes, but this moment will go down in Bachelor history.

Alabama Hannah Is Back
Hannah Brown‘s appearance on Peter’s season kept fans hopeful that they would end up together. The former Bachelorette star confessed during an emotional conversation that she regretted ending things with him “all the time” and felt like she “f–ked up.” They decided to go their separate ways, but their love seemed so real. RIP.
