Good tea, sis! Taylor Swift seemingly confirmed when she and Joe Alwyn started dating. She also hinted that he was the subject of many of her love songs that have been up for debate from Reputation (*cough, cough* “Dress”). The singer got very candid about what’s been going on in her life during the past three years. Although she didn’t mention the actor by name, she’s letting the music speak for itself.

It’s easy to focus on the deliciously shady tracks of the 29-year-old’s sixth studio album like “Look What You Made Me Do” and “I Did Something Bad,” but Taylor admitted that there was another layer that spoke to her personal life at the time if you looked close enough. “The moments of my true story on that album are songs like ‘Delicate,’ ‘New Year’s Day,’ ‘Call It What You Want,’ ‘Dress,'” she explained to Rolling Stone in an interview published on September 18. “The one-two punch, bait-and-switch of Reputation is that it was actually a love story. It was a love story in amongst chaos.”

Taylor sings in the song “Lover” that she’s been with her beau for “three summers,” so it’s most likely that these songs (written ~three~ years ago) are about The Favourite actor. While we’re here for the theory that the sexy lyrics in “Dress” are about Karlie Kloss, the songstress seems to be pointing in the more obvious direction.

2016 was a tough year for the pop star, from her feud with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian to receiving backlash for her “squad,” it seemed like she couldn’t do anything right in the eyes of the public. She retreated out of the spotlight and began living her personal life on her own terms. “All the weaponized sort of metallic battle anthems were what was going on outside. That was the battle raging on that I could see from the windows, and then there was what was happening inside my world — my newly quiet, cozy world that was happening on my own terms for the first time,” she divulged. “It’s weird because in some of the worst times of my career, and reputation, dare I say, I had some of the most beautiful times — in my quiet life that I chose to have. And I had some of the most incredible memories with the friends I now knew cared about me, even if everyone hated me.”

All in all, the “Daylight” artist found a silver lining in all the drama she’s endured. “The bad stuff was really significant and damaging. But the good stuff will endure. The good lessons — you realize that you can’t just show your life to people,” she noted.

We’re glad Taylor is back and has blessed us all with Lover.
