He knew going in that he was the least known celebrity, but that didn't stop LA radio personality Mike Catherwood from giving his all during season 12 of Dancing With the Stars. "I know I wasn't the best dancer," Mike tells Life & Style. "I will never dance again, but I have noticed that I have a tremendous appreciation for the art of dance that I didn't have before."

Mike also opens up about the possibility of filling Regis Philbin's soon-to-be-vacated hosting chair on Regis and Kelly as he and partner Lacey Schwimmer speak to Life & Style.
Are you bummed out about getting eliminated?
Lacey: Oh my gosh, no this is really great, thanks for asking!
Mike: Of course you are disappointed as you don't want to go home first, but there is also an infinite amount of positive stuff that came from being involved up to this point, and you try to focus on that.
Happy to not have to rehearse anymore?
Lacey: Oh, he is thrilled he doesn't have to rehearse anymore, are you kidding?
Mike: It's mixed. I am thrilled I don't have to dance anymore, and it's not that I don't appreciate dancing. I will just never dance again for the rest of my life. Unless I'm back for some comedy reason.
Lacey: Well, you have to come back for the finale...
Mike: See, fine, but in my personal life I will never dance again. I do have an appreciation for the art of dance that I will take with me for the rest of my life. But you will not see me on a local dance floor any time soon.

What didn't we get to see that you wanted to do out there?
Lacey: You don't want to know.
Mike: A few moves you got to see in my closing dance: the Pancake, the Reverse Pancake, the Typhoon, the Jackhammer. The Siberian Tornado as I didn't break out the standard American one. So those are some I kept in my bank, the Cleveland Steamer...
Lacey: The Alabama Firefighter.
Mike: Those were the ones that were appropriate for ABC.
Speaking of ABC, the planets aligned, and you got this gig for a reason, so Regis & Kelly has to be next. Want to give us the big announcement now?
Mike: I would LOVE to say yeah, my people are talking, but I don't know. I am going back to do Regis & Kelly as a guest since I have been eliminated, but also as a guest host in a couple of weeks to check back in as they have been nice enough to ask me back. But I can't tell you about what is happening in my career after this. This sounds so cheesy and clichéd, but I am so grateful for all of this. Honestly, if you had talked to 20-year-old Mike, I wouldn't have been confident about having one job, let alone having jobs thrown my way.
Who will you miss the most?
Mike: All of the cast has been ridiculously cool. I wish I had dirt to give you, but they are all such nice people. I would have to say Chris and Cheryl -- we were like besties.
Lacey: they totally had a bromance. Cheryl and I are very good friends, so they got close.
Mike: Cheryl loves me, and you can print that!
Will your mutual booty admiration society continue outside of the show?
Mike: Yeah, in a totally bland and unthreatening way, from the other side of the room. I will draw pictures of it or make a statue, but it will be a platonic booty relationship. Which is my new band name -- Platonic Booty Relationship.
Watch Dancing With the Stars Mondays at 8 p.m. and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
