It’s *almost* here! Season 24 of The Bachelor officially has an air date set for January 6, 2020. Peter Weber will begin his journey to find love with the three-hour premiere, and the list of potential contestants are seriously more gorgeous than ever. The new leading man was announced during the Bachelor in Paradise finale on September 17 and the seems more than ready to find his ~copilot.~

The competition will be fierce. On the first night, Peter sends home a whopping eight women, according to a press release from ABC. Of course, the biggest conversation for the new season surrounds the return of Hannah Brown. Teasers seemingly show the pilot asking his ex to “come be part of the house,” which leaves tons of lingering questions.

Besides stepping out of the limo on night one, ABC dished that the Alabama beauty is hosting one of the group dates and that’s when things may take a turn. “She explains to the nine enthusiastic women that they will be revealing their most memorable sex stories and fantasies in front of a live audience. But what happens when Peter discovers a distraught Hannah backstage? What she shares with him will leave them both as confused as ever.”

The California native first appeared as a contestant on Hannah’s season of The Bachelorette. He made it to the top four men but was sent home after overnight dates. Their split was especially heartbreaking because the Alabama beauty frequently gushed about how amazing Peter is, but her feelings were stronger for the other two finalists — Tyler Cameron and Jed Wyatt.

“I knew I was going to hurt you, but I was also getting hurt too,” the former beauty queen explained to Peter during After the Final Rose on July 29. “Because I was falling in love with you and that didn’t just go away when I say goodbye. It’s been really hard to watch everything. Everything we had was real, and the way I felt for you was real, and I know that way you felt for me was real. It’s so hard because in this position because you don’t know if you’re making the right decision, and I think I was scared I was letting go of the perfect guy.”

The only drama Peter came across during his time on the franchise was when his ex-girlfriend Calee Lutes claimed he broke up with her to go on the reality show. Chris Harrison defended the stud against the accusations and noted that he looked into the situation himself. “I know more about Peter, just because I did some digging,” the host divulged to Entertainment Tonight on July 25. “Because some allegations were made in her claims that had to do with us and casting, so I was just curious, so I asked around. In that regard, I’m less worried and less intrigued about Peter’s situation because I know some truths that either I’ll explain or Peter will explain.”

The reality star did end up responding in his own words to the model’s claims. “There was a lot of truth to what she said in her story, but there is also a lot of truth that wasn’t mentioned,” Peter told People in an interview published on July 30. “The show had absolutely nothing to do with me ending that relationship.”

We can’t wait to watch Peter find love!
