The Bravo cameras are rolling in the Big Apple! Life & Style can exclusively reveal that the highly anticipated new season of The Real Housewives of New York City kicked off filming today. "There were contract issues, but Aug. 31 was always the start date, with or without a contract," says an insider.

Despite rumblings that the Housewives were holding out for a pay raise, the insider insists salary wasn't an issue. "The ladies wanted more money, and they're getting it.

"Bravo was happy to up their pay since the show makes more money now. The Housewives just had an issue with some of the wording in the contract."

However, contract negotiations for next season may get stickier. The insider tells Life & Style, "Bethenny is getting her own show and she may be off Housewives for good come the season after next."
