Hailey Glassman's big NYC birthday bash

Jon Gosselin's ex Hailey Glassman is celebrating her youth by throwing herself a 23rd-birthday bash at Quo nightclub in NYC on Feb. 19.

Hailey pokes fun at the age difference between her and Jon on her party invitation, titled "Black out or get out," which she sent to more than 3,000 people on Facebook.

"Come out and party for my 23rd. I may be turning 23, but I feel like 32. Come help me remember what it's like to be 23, aka young and fabulous again," she writes.

The newly single Hailey has just wrapped a photo shoot for Steppin' Out magazine and is all ready to party next week at Quo, which has hosted celebrities like Lindsay Lohan, Gwen Stefani, and Sean "Diddy" Combs. She assures her invitees that the "real Hailey" is back.

Ke$ha Hollywood sign is a hoax

While Ke$ha is taking over the Billboard charts, she's not taking over Hollywood's most famous billboard, the Hollywood sign. A video posted online of Ke$ha purportedly altering the iconic sign on Feb. 4 is a hoax, Life & Style can reveal. "There was a group of people up near the sign, but no one actually went through with defacing the sign," an insider tells Life & Style. "It's been raining [in LA], and if you look at the video, it's sunny out. Nothing happened to the sign. It's a hoax."

The video depicts Ke$ha and a group of friends sneaking under a fence and draping a fabric sign that read "Ke$hawood" over the Hollywood sign. "Hwood sign is officially my biznatch," Ke$ha also tweeted at 3:20 a.m. on Feb 4.

Though the Hollywood sign has been defaced in the past, a rep for the LAPD tells Life & Style, "If someone had seen the Hollywood sign [being] vandalized, it would have been called in to the LAPD, but we never received a call."

Some Hollywood residents have seen "Ke$hawood" but only on the posted video. One resident who lives near the Hollywood sign, Mitch Yapko, tells Life & Style, "I see the Hollywood sign every day and it looked the same today as it did last week -- clean and inspiring."

A rep for Ke$ha said, 'I have no comment and no additional insight."

Carrie plans her dream wedding!

The Grammys are known as the music industry's biggest night, but on Jan. 31, all country superstar Carrie Underwood seemed to be thinking of was her big day. When asked on the red carpet whether she and pro hockey player Mike Fisher, who got engaged in December, have set a date yet, Carrie excitedly replied, "Not officially; we're kind of bouncing a few around." She also reported that her mother and Mike's mom had just met for the first time. "His parents live in Canada and mine live in Oklahoma," she explained. "They got to hang out. I think they're both very excited," she said recently.

Consider the groom equally revved up. Days earlier, when talking to Life & Style via phone from his room at the Ritz-Carlton in Boston on Jan. 22, Mike shared three points he and Carrie have already agreed on. "It's going to be a good size wedding with plenty of good food and an open bar," he told Life & Style. "But nothing too overblown. It's still in the planning stages, so a lot of the details haven't been finalized." He admitted that his fiancée would be handling most of the specifics. "As you might expect, Carrie's involved in a lot of the details," he said, adding with a laugh, "I'll just be showing up."

Carrie already has a clear idea of how she wants to look when she and Mike tie the knot. Her dream dress? "I want it to be pretty traditional," she's explained. "I think I want flowers on it -- not real flowers. [The designer will] probably be someone I've worked with before." Is someone already sewing away? "We can't even think about her wedding yet," Carrie's stylist, Trish Townsend, told Life & Style on Feb. 1. "We just got through the Grammys. Next is the Super Bowl -- she's singing the national anthem." Roberto de Villacis, who designed one of Carrie's looks for the 2009 Country Music Awards and dressed the star for the video of her 2009 hit "Cowboy Casanova," says he'd be thrilled to do the honors. "I love designing for Carrie," De Villacis tells Life & Style. "Since meeting her, I've been thinking about her wedding dress. Carrie's sweet, feminine, romantic. I'd propose a glamorous Southern-belle gown in French Chantilly lace with a floral pattern. She's petite, so the best silhouette would be a long and lean flute."

The Bachelor's Jake: I couldn't get a date in high school

It's hard to believe that a man who has gorgeous women throwing themselves at him on national television ever had trouble finding a date. But that's exactly how it was for heartthrob pilot Jake Pavelka, the current star of ABC's hit series The Bachelor. During a romantic one-on-one date with contestant Gia Allemand at a vineyard, Jake sheepishly admitted that his nickname in high school was "Mr. Dateless."

He wasn't exaggerating. "I was just shy around girls at that age," Jake tells Life & Style. "I tended to be bullied in the seventh, eighth and ninth grades." And while he's a catch now, there's one person who wasn't surprised to hear that Jake had a tough time with the ladies when he was younger. "The time that I spent with Jake, I could see that he was probably very shy in high school," recently eliminated contestant Ella Nolan tells Life & Style.

But that's not stopping Jake from trying to find love on TV's most popular reality dating show. "I'm not looking for the most beautiful woman out there," he told Life & Style. "But I'm looking for a heart of gold -- and character, lots of character."

Jessica and Billy: they're still making beautiful music together

Jessica Simpson and her ex Billy Corgan are mixing business with pleasure -- Billy's recording the theme song for Jessica's new reality show, The Price of Beauty. "Billy plays guitar, and Jessica's written and performed the lyrics," a VH1 insider confirms to Life & Style exclusively. "It's cute that they came up with the idea together."

On Jan. 11, Jess, 29, and the Smashing Pumpkins front man, 42, went into an LA recording studio, where Billy was working on the Pumpkins' new project. "I am blessed," Jessica tweeted after the jam session. Viewers can listen for themselves when the series, which examines perceptions of attractiveness across cultures, premieres on March 15 at 10 p.m. on VH1.

Jillian Barberie: meet my beautiful baby boy

As co-anchor of the morning show Good Day LA, Jillian Barberie Reynolds is used to functioning on barely any sleep. And that skill is coming in particularly handy with her second child, newborn son Rocco. "I'm up every three hours," Jillian told Life & Style during an exclusive interview at her LA home on Jan. 27. "I don't care. I Twitter while I'm breast-feeding him. I call it breast-tweeting!"

Jillian wasn't quite as laid-back about Rocco's Jan. 11 arrival -- two weeks early -- via cesarean section. But she, husband Grant Reynolds (a stay-at-home dad) and their daughter, Ruby, 2, are happy just to go with the flow when it comes to their newest family member. "At my age, I was so lucky to get pregnant without help," Jillian says. "We didn't plan it. It was just natural."

Brad and Angelina: yes, we're together!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie hadn't appeared in public since the British newspaper News of the World announced on Jan. 24 that they were splitting up. But the duo, who had skipped such esteemed awards shows as the Golden Globes and the Screen Actors Guild Awards in January, apparently felt they couldn't afford to lie low and ignore the split rumors anymore.

So on Jan. 30, they decided to attend the 62nd Annual Director's Guild of America Awards to send a message: We are definitely still a couple. Sitting at a table with Brad's Inglourious Basterds director, Quentin Tarantino, Brad and Angie cuddled their way through the ceremony at LA's Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. "They laughed and joked," a fellow guest tells Life & Style. "There was plenty of affection and physical intimacy -- pats on the back, rubbing each other's arms. They seemed in good form."

And they got dolled up. Angelina wore a green Elie Saab gown and a partial updo by hairstylist David Babaii, while Brad sported a two-piece Tom Ford suit. But they didn't hit the red carpet together or pose for pictures as a couple, presumably to keep attention focused on the directors being honored.

Kourtney Kardashian: I haven't lost the baby weight--and I'm not in any rush

Most Hollywood moms start stressing about losing their baby weight even before leaving the delivery room. But Kourtney Kardashian isn't like most women.

Instead of clocking hours at the gym to shed the 40 pounds she put on during her pregnancy, Kourt has been singularly focusing on her 7-week-old bundle of joy, son Mason Dash. "It's been hard to find time to work out," she told Life & Style during an exclusive interview on Jan. 29. "All I want to do is spend time with Mason."

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star decided to open up about her struggle to slim down after a tabloid magazine used heavyhanded Photoshopping to make it appear as if she'd regained her svelte pre-pregnancy figure just one month after giving birth. A disgusted Kourtney, 30, says that dream body is, well, just a dream. "Losing the weight has been a lot harder than I thought," she says. "I've lost 25 pounds so far. I still have 15 more to go."

Heidi Montag goes too far

After Heidi Montag went under the knife in 2007 to enlarge her breasts and streamline her nose, she thought she would be done perfecting her body. "No more surgery for me," the reality star claimed. But all that changed when Heidi went back to her plastic surgeon's office for a more than $50,000 full-body overhaul on Nov. 20, 2009.

Fast-forward to Jan. 22. Heidi and hubby Spencer Pratt sat holed up in their Pacific Palisades, Calif., home, in shock over the hate mail the 23-yearold had been getting about her extreme makeover. "Spencer ordered about seven bunches of flowers to cheer up Heidi because she'd received a letter or an e-mail saying that her plastic surgery was against God's will," a neighbor of the couple tells Life & Style. "Heidi's apparently very spiritual, so this kind of criticism really stings."

While strangers' opinions shouldn't matter, even friends think Heidi's decision to undergo 10 procedures in a single day went overboard -- to a dangerous degree. "She looks like Cat Lady," a pal of Heidi's tells Life & Style. "It's all a little too much." Spencer was also horrified by Heidi's appearance, according to his friend. "He loved how Heidi looked before this surgery," a friend of Spencer's tells Life & Style. "Because she's still swollen and the surgery hasn't settled yet, he's a bit shocked."

Still, Heidi doesn't think she has a problem. "Every starlet is getting surgery every other day to keep up her looks," says Heidi. And supermodel Janice Dickinson thinks Heidi shouldn't make any apologies for her surgeries. "She looks fantastic," Janice tells Life & Style. "And she loves the fact that she's being compared to Pam Anderson, which, in my mind, she very well could be." Janice's only gripe? She thinks Heidi is destroying Dr. Ryan's reputation by saying she almost died. "Any time anyone comes out of anesthesia, you're going to be weirded out," says Janice. "Personally, I live for it."

Even if you have a boyfriend or a husband, Bethenny adds, "it gives you a chance to air your issues about your relationship so you don't kill your partner." Most of all, Bethenny stresses, "it's about women taking charge of their lives. They've earned their night in, and they're going to make the most of it."

Former Pussycat Doll: how I lost it all

On the outside, it seemed that Jessica Sutta was living a glamorous life. As part of the Pussycat Dolls, one of the most successful singing groups of all time, she traveled the world, performing in front of thousands of devoted fans. But behind the scenes, exhaustion and infighting were taking their toll. Jessica shares exclusively with Life & Style why she walked away -- and how she found her own voice.

L&S: When did things begin to go wrong?
Jessica: It all started when I was injured on tour [in May 2009]. They decided to send me home, and when I got to LA, I was left to fend for myself. I didn't have a place to stay because I was on tour. Luckily, a girlfriend let me stay with her. I'm lying there, thinking, wow, I'm an international pop star, and I just left this extravagant life, and here I am sleeping on someone's couch.

L&S: Were there other reasons you left?
Jessica: Honestly, I felt like it was time to not live in the shadow of Nicole [Scherzinger, the group's lead singer] anymore. It wasn't a joyful experience. I wasn't feeling like I was growing in the situation. As hard as the decision was, it was something I had to do. Breaking my rib is what sent me over the edge.

L&S: What was it like working with Nicole?
Jessica: Nicole is a star, and she wanted to be treated like one. The Pussycat Dolls were Nicole's world, and everything that Nicole says goes. If you liked a certain top and Nicole liked it too, she would take the top. She's the star. We had to support her in every way. It was Nicole's world, and we were just living in it.
