Tiny New York town rolls out the red carpet for Chelsea Clinton's wedding

The normally sleepy town of Rhinebeck, N.Y. -- population just 7,762 as of the last census -- is buzzing with excitement about the big event it will be hosting Saturday: the wedding of Chelsea Clinton and her fiancé, Mark Mezvinsky. Although many of the locals aren't likely to be on the guest list, they're eager for their town to make a good impression on all the Clintons and their VIP guests.

"It's a great thing to happen here in Rhinebeck," local Paul Schiavo tells Life & Style. "We want them to have a wonderful wedding."

Staffs at venues involved with the wedding have been working overtime to make sure everything looks its best. "I've been working for days," Pepe Femina, landscaper at the Beekman Arms, the inn where many guests are expected to stay, tells Life & Style. "We're just about ready."

Even vendors who are not involved in Chelsea's nuptials are joining in the celebration -- and hoping the influx of visitors provides a boost in business.

At the Rhinebeck deli, a sign advertising three new sandwiches -- the Chelsea, the Hillary and the Bill -- is posted in the front window.

"We're going all-out with window displays," Megan Martino, a makeup artist at Rhineback's Face Stockholm boutique, tells Life & Style. "On Saturday, we're going to have a live bridal show in the store windows. We've hired two extra makeup artists to come in and help because we're hoping a lot of the female guests will want to have their makeup done for the wedding."

It was an incomplete pass for New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez and Entourage cutie Jamie-Lynn Sigler. The couple have called it quits after three months of dating a source tells Life & Style.

Jamie-Lynn is heading to New York City to begin acting in the off-Broadway show Love Loss and What I Wore, while the LA-based Sanchez will be in upstate New York with the Jets, preparing for the 2010 NFL season.

"They split because they were both just heading in very different directions," a source tells Life & Style. "He's 23 and wants to have fun and win football games. She's 29 and wants to date a nice, honest guy. I think he was a little young for her.'

In the spring and early summer, the two were spotted out in LA and NYC at various restaurants and events, including the David Mamet play Race on Broadway and the Tony Awards.

On July 28, Mark was spotted moving on from the Sopranos alum at the Cinema Society Event in Manhattan. He was seen locking lips with a gorgeous unknown brunette. Maybe this relationship will be a touchdown!

Jersey Shore star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino's heavy partying has caused his fellow castmates to try an intervention, insiders reveal to Life & Style's Scene Queens. "The cast is really worried about him," confides a Jersey Shore cast pal to the Scene Queens. "He has way too many enablers around him." While their hit reality show focuses on their late nights and booze binges, Mike's hardcore partying off screen is causing his castmates to worry. "They tried an intervention, but he's in denial," says the Jersey Shore pal. Their concern has now turned to tension and the cast doesn't hang with the Sitch unless they're being paid. An insider tells the Scene Queens, "He wants to be that party guy and he's just gotten sucked into that world that the others don't want to be a part of." The cast recently reunited in Seaside Heights, NJ to begin filming Jersey Shore 3.

Holly Madison: Why I bought my friend implants

Holly Madison made best friend Angel Porrino's dream come true when she bought her a boob job for her 21st birthday in the July 18 episode of Holly's World. "It was something I always thought about," Angel tells Life & Style exclusively about her pal and personal assistant. "I had 50 year-old boobs at age 20," the single mom says about her A-cup breasts, which never regained their natural shape after the 2009 birth of her son, Roman. "It was bad."

"I've known Angel since she was 18, and she's always been talking about getting a boob job," Holly Madison tells Life & Style. "It's really exciting to be able to buy a friend a present that she's super, super excited about," says Holly, who paid for the gift with the money she earned hosting Angel's birthday party at Tao in Las Vegas.

And Angel is a satisfied customer. "They're proportionate to my body," says the bubbly bombshell about her new D-cup breasts. "I'm just more confident, and I don't think there's anything else about my body that I would want to change."

During production in Canada, she's been spotted fondly rubbing her prosthetic belly, cooing over kids on set and spending quality mother daughter time with Suri.

And her first major on-screen role as a mom couldn't be coming at a more appropriate time. Katie, who's made no secret of the fact that she and husband Tom Cruise plan to give Suri, 4, a younger sibling, is loving every second of motherhood. "They've been going out on dates in NYC," a source tells Scene Queens. "It started as just a hookup, but now they're dating." Sebastian is trying to keep his new romance much quieter than his relationship with Leighton Meester, who he felt was constantly trying to be in the press and gain publicity. "Sebastian doesn't want to make same mistakes with Leighton, she was so public, he's more focused on his own career right now and wants to just have fun with Dianna without it being this big thing." Sebastian's career may be getting a boost soon; his new film Black Swan, which stars big-guns like Natalie Portman and Winona Ryder is set to be released in late fall.

American Idol wants Jessica Simpson!

Life & Style has exclusively learned that Jessica Simpson is in negotiations to become a judge on American Idol! "She's met with producer-creator Simon Fuller several times," an insider confirms to Life & Style. "They like her -- she's a good fit -- and she likes it. Now it's just a question of how to fit her in."

That's because the Price of Beauty star isn't necessarily being tapped to fill Simon Cowell's shoes. "She's not his replacement -- they're two entirely different personalities," says the insider. "This is part of a massive overhaul of the show. There may be more judges, more opinions." Justin Timberlake, Elton John, Chris Isaak and Harry Connick Jr. have also been mentioned as possible additions.

While her fans would love to see Jessica on Idol, so would her manager and father, Joe. "He's been heavily involved with Idol," a second insider tells Life & Style. "His client Travis Garland performed on the May 19 show. Joe was there to support him, and Jess wrote one of his songs." So will Jessica make her dad's day by signing on? "She'd be crazy to turn it down," says the first insider. "She'll just say things without thinking, and that's what they want -- that's great TV!"

Jersey Shore's Sammi Sweetheart: How I lost 15 lbs

Jersey Shore's Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola gives Life & Style the skinny on how she shed the bloat while still partying up a storm down in Miami for Season 2 of the hit MTV show. "I just changed my diet, and the next thing you know the pounds just came off," Sammi tells Life & Style. The reality star, photographed here exclusively for Life & Style, lost a whopping 15 pounds -- without missing out on any of the fun. The first order of business: cutting out the carbs.

"I miss it like crazy, but I don't eat pasta anymore," she tells Life & Style. "I eat my vegetables and try to stay healthy." Sammi also worked off the extra partying calories with an intensive cardio routine. "I do soccer drills -- I jog a lap, then sprint, jog the rest of the way, then sprint again," she says.

"You have to look good in Miami because beautiful people are everywhere you look! You don't want to turn into a slob," Sammi tells Life & Style. And to finish off her new beach-ready look? The gals' version of the Jersey Shore guys' mantra, GTL (gym, tanning, laundry): "HNT -- hair, nails, tan!" she cheers.

Tony Potts gets married!

Access Hollywood co-anchor and correspondent Tony Potts has tied the knot! Life & Style can exclusively reveal that the entertainment news anchor and his international TV beauty Shalini Vadhera said "I do" during a spiritual and private ceremony at Lake Shrine in the Pacific Palisades on July 24. The star-studded day was a Hollywood meets Bollywood affair as 120 of Tony and Shalini's closest friends and family witnessed the Indian-inspired ceremony. Tony, 47, looked every bit Shalini's Indian prince as he stood at the altar in a traditional Indian-style outfit, which included a silver and beaded long coat called a sherwani and silver and gold khusa shoes, to welcome his beautiful bride down the aisle. Shalini stunned in a one-of-a-kind Indian-inspired silk and organza gown with hundreds of hand-beaded pearls and crystals designed by Alia Khan. She wore over $100,000 in diamond and gold jewelry from Highglow.

"Shalini said to me a long time ago that 'every woman should be an Indian bride,' and now, after this absolutely gorgeous day, I understand why," Tony tells Life & Style.

The lovebirds, who have been together for two years, were initially set to marry next summer on the River Seine in Paris, but moved up their engagement and proposal so Tony's dad, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January, could attend the wedding as his son's best man.

"I feel very blessed to have her and all that she brings into my life," says Tony, who says he loves Shalini for her kindness and beauty on both the inside and out. "I feel love on a daily basis."

The event was planned by Dulari Amin of Imli Events.

And even the bar's regulars are keeping mum about the famous pop star: "The crowd there is much more interested in dancing and having a good time than speaking about Lady Gaga," an insider tells the SCENE QUEENS. It looks like Gaga's fans will have to do their hunting elsewhere!

Kim stands by Reggie during controversy

Kim Kardashian may have broken up with Reggie Bush, but she is speaking out in his defense over his current Heisman Trophy controversy.

"Reggie earned that trophy. He worked hard and he deserves it!" Kim told Life & Style.

The NCAA revoked Reggie's Heisman after ruling that Reggie received extra benefits that made him ineligible for the 2005 season he played at USC, but Kim is sticking by her ex and supports him.

Kim also tells Ryan Seacrest about the controversy, "I do feel bad for him. I'm sure he's going through a really hard time."
