A father has been caught on camera PUNCHING his toddler son at a market in California.
The horrific scene was filmed by a surveillance camera in a Vest Market in Bakersfield. The footage was subsequently released to the media and the police, who promptly arrested the father, named Justin Whittington, 23, and charged him with child endangerment.

"That was horrible, man," the store's owner Harry Dindral told the 'New York Daily News.' "The worst thing I've ever seen."

The clips that have been released not only show the punch, but also appear to show the father grabbing his son by the leg, dragging him and picking him up by the shirt to scream in his face.
The child eventually runs up to a woman, presumably his mother, who appears to be pregnant.
The culprit is now being held on $1 million bail and will face the court on Monday.
Luckily, the police say the child has been examined by doctors and he was not seriously harmed by the incident.
