'Tell us more, tell us more!'
This is some of the most exciting news we’ve heard all year! We know it’s only been three weeks, but we’ve been waiting for news like this…
Julianne Hough is – drum roll please – going to play Sandy in FOX's live Grease primetime musical. And it only gets better from there. Vanessa Hudgens has signed on to to play Rizzo! We’re there — sitting front-row from the couch and rocking our Pink Ladies jacket.

So who’s going to play Danny Zuko? We couldn’t tell you because Fox has no clue yet either. Hmm … What about Channing Tatum? Dude certainly has the moves. Or Vanessa’s ex-boyfriend Zac Efron? He’s got that bad-boy vibe and fella can D-A-N-C-E.

“Being Rizzo is something I’ve never imagined, and I love that because it will be a new challenge,” Vanessa told 'Entertainment Weekly.' “She is such an iconic character that continues to transcend generations. I cannot wait to bring her to life on live television. I’m going to be a Pink Lady!”
As for Julianne, what does she think of her new role as lead Sandy? “Grease is one of the movies that made me want to be an entertainer, and I have literally been waiting my whole life to play Sandy.”
The event will follow the successful ‘The Sound of Music Live’ in 2013 and last December’s rather disappointing 'Peter Pan.' Both aired on NBC.
