It's been just over a week since Fast & Furious star Paul Walker's tragic death in a fiery car crash.
There is a memorial planned today in Los Angeles at the site where the actor Paul Walker and his friend, Roger Rodas, were killed on November 30 and thousands are expected to attend.
A lot has happened over the past eight days. Here's what we know so far about the fatal accident and its aftermath.
November 30: The actor who first rose to fame in Varsity Blues and She's All That, before gaining real fame in the Fast & Furious franchise is confirmed dead by Walker's reps after porsche he was driving in the California town Santa Clarita hit something and then burst into flames. Walker was reportedly on his way back to LA from a charity car show raising money for Philippines typhoon relief when the accident took place. Walker leaves behind a daughter, Meadow, 15.
Also killed is "brother in heart" Roger Rodas, a retired race car driver turned CEO of a car customization shop called Always Evolving.
Dec 1: As news of Walker's untimely death spreads friends and former costars, including Ludacris, Joshua Jackson, Rachael Leigh Cook, tweet their condolences.
Olivia Wildle: "Heavy heavy heart tonight. Paul Walker was a genuinely good, sweet, kind, laid back, loving person. Sending much love to his family."
Joshua Jackson: "Damn. Hard to imagine someone so full of life taken so soon. My thoughts go out to your family. RIP Pauly Walker."
Dec 2: Walker's father, Paul Walker Sr., breaks down while talking about his son to CBS2 Sunday: " “His heart was so open,” said Walker Sr.,"I was proud of him every day of his life." He went on: "I’m just…glad, that every time I saw him, I told him I loved him, and he would say the same thing to me.” Later that evening crowds cleared away from the crash site memorial so that the Walker family could have some time alone there.
Dec 3: Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel pays tribute to Walker in a post on his Facebook: "“Pablo, I wish you could see the world right now and the profound impact, your full life has had on it, on Us… on me…” He went on: “I will always love you Brian, as the brother you were… on and off screen,” referring to Paul’s Fast character, Brian O’Conner.
According to Glee star Kevin McHale, at her The Mrs. Carter Show tour show at the Staples Center in LA Beyone honored the star with a rendition of Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You,' which she dedicated to Paul.
Dec 4: Los Angeles police arrest Jameson Witty, 18, for stealing a part from the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT that Paul Walker was in when he died and hold him on $20,000 bail. Witnesses say Witty followed the truck and stole a part from the Porsche when it was stopped at a red light. After he grabbed the piece, he drove off. A second suspect, a 25-year-old man whose name has not been released, has also been pegged to the crime and has plans to surrender.
Dec 5: The cast of the Fast & Furious franchise releases an emotional tribute video to Walker emotional video set to Diddy and Skylar Grey’s hit 'Coming Home': "A Tribute to Paul Walker. Paul Walker’s family appreciates the outpouring of love and goodwill from his many fans and friends,” the Fast & Furious franchise posted on its YouTube account. “They have asked, in lieu of flowers or other gifts, that donations please be made to Paul’s charity Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW). Donations can easily be made through their website at http://www.ROWW.org/.”
