But now Life & Style has all the romantic details!
We can exclusively reveal that Josh, the star of the NBC legal series The Firm, recently married freelance writer Jessica Ciencin Henriquez in one of New York City's most famous landmarks: Central Park!
"It was beautiful," a longtime friend of the 40-year-old star tells Life & Style. "It wasn't big, just a lot of close friends and family."
Jessica recently wrote a touching account of their whirlwind romance on her Tumblr, beginning a little more than a year before their wedding.
"In a dog park in New York, on a day like the thousands before it, I decided to take a chance. Maybe it was the blue eyes staring back at me, perhaps it was the loud and comfortable laugh that met each story I told that afternoon, but whatever the reason, I let myself fall -- it was terrifying, beautiful and brilliant," she wrote.
"48 hours later, our lives were shared in ways I've always found difficult to do before -- but not then, not with him. It fit, nothing was forced or faked, and even if neither of us understood what was happening between us, we were confident in its uniqueness and absolutely taken aback by how easily we could love.
"1 mere flip of a calendar page later, and he bent his knee in Grace Cathedral [in downtown New York], not promising the world but instead offering honesty, love and acceptance."
For his part, Josh, who had previously been linked to actresses Salma Hayek, Heather Graham and Rachel McAdams, has said that he was inspired to propose to Jessica by...a mountain lion!
"I hear, totally serious, two big breaths," he recently said on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno about a late-night encounter at his trailer while filming Big Sur, "and six feet above me, I see the very slight glint of the eyes of a huge [mountain lion], and I literally proceed to do what I'd just read in the instructions: I started screaming and yelling and literally being as crazy as I could be, [and] it padded off and just slowly went away, and I worked my way into the trailer. I got in and I decided at that moment that this woman was the woman for me."
The pair, who became engaged in January, are expecting their first child together.
