<p><span></span><a href="http://dynamic.bauerpublishing.com/mt-search.fcgi?blog_id=2&tag=ben flajnik&limit=20&IncludeBlogs=2"><strong>Ben Flajnik</strong></a> said a heartbreaking goodbye to <a href="http://dynamic.bauerpublishing.com/mt-search.fcgi?blog_id=2&tag=rachel truehart&limit=20&IncludeBlogs=2"><strong>Rachel Truehart</strong></a> on week 7 of <a href="http://dynamic.bauerpublishing.com/mt-search.fcgi?blog_id=2&tag=The bachelor&limit=20&IncludeBlogs=2"><em>The Bachelor</em></a>, giving roses instead to <strong>Courtney</strong>, <strong>Kacie</strong>, <strong>Lindzi</strong> and <strong>Nicki</strong> in Belize. Ben will go on to meet the families of the final four women. </p>
But don't worry! Rachel's doing just fine. Life & Style caught up with her at the Porsche Design Soho Boutique Launch in New York, just two days after her sad goodbye aired on national TV.
L&S: What was it like watching the last episode?
Rachel: It was really stressful. I don't know if I was more nervous to watch myself in a bikini for the entire episode, watch myself cry over sharks or see myself get rejected by Ben Flajnik. I think I handled it pretty well. I was really stressed about about seeing myself go through it and watching my exit interview, but when I saw it I was kind of impressed. I thought I was pretty composed during it. It hurts to be rejected. Nobody wants to be rejected and have their heart broken, but I think it could have been much worse.
What are you up to now that the show's over?
It was an adjustment getting back to real life. I was away for a pretty long time, almost two months, so I just relaxed for a couple of months, enjoyed the holidays and Christmas. Now I'm job hunting again. I worked in fashion and textiles so now I'm career hunting for my dream job.
Did you have to quit your job for the show?
I didn't technically have to quit my job -- I chose to leave my job for the show because I wasn't happy there. I thought it was a good time in my life to do it. I had been at my company for five years. Why not now?
You live in New York now and Ben's been out and about in New York -- have you seen him?
You know what's funny, I just talked to somebody five minutes ago that said, 'I know somebody from The Bachelor, his name is Ben.' [I'm like,] Yes, I know him, too. That was kind of funny. But I've heard that he's been here. That would be hysterical if I ran into him.
Have you started dating?
Now that I'm kicked off, I'm totally open to dating. Single scene in New York, gotta love it!
Overall, how do you feel about the experience?
It was a great experience. I met some really awesome girls and that's the best I could have expected coming out of it. I came out with some really great friends I can't wait to reconnect with. I'll be seeing them soon.
