It’s On! Bachelor Peter Weber and Ex Kelley Flanagan Are Officially Dating (Again)
It’s on (again)! Bachelor star Peter Weber is officially dating former contestant Kelley Flanagan after quarantining for more than a month together at her Chicago home amid the coronavirus pandemic. The lawyer competed for Peter’s heart during season 24 but only made it to the top five. However, they found their second chance at love and are back together.
“Peter and Kelley are fully dating, but they aren’t admitting it to people,” a source told Us Weekly on April 28. “She has been much more careful and has been staying in her house ever since her incident with Peter while walking on the Riverwalk in Chicago and doesn’t want to be criticized all over the internet.”
Rumors have been circulating about the exes for over a month, even though Peter, 28, previously dished that they were still taking time to get to know each other. “Are we dating? No,” he said about Kelley during the April 7 episode of Nick Viall’s “The Viall Files” podcast. “Do I love spending time with her? Absolutely. We’re not dating. Could I see that in the future? Yeah, of course. I’d be extremely lucky and very happy if that happened.”
The leading man got engaged to Hannah Ann Sluss during the Bachelor finale. He ended things with the 24-year-old shortly after because he had feelings for runner-up Madison Prewett. He and Madi, 24, rekindled their romance after filming but announced they “mutually” split for good just three days following After the Final Rose in March. He noted that his experience from the show made him approach things with Kelley differently. “Of anyone, I’m the last person that needs to rush into any kind of relationship,” he explained during his interview with Nick. “I just had an engagement that didn’t work out. I just was trying to pursue things with another woman that didn’t work out. That’s why right now, I’m just taking it really, really slow.”
Peter’s actions with Kelley definitely raised some eyebrows, including from ex Madison who claimed he wanted her back just a few days before he was seen with his now-girlfriend in Chicago on March 25. “He was, like, calling me and texting me being like, ‘I miss you, let’s get back together,’” Madi alleged while appearing on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s “Off the Vine” podcast on April 21. “You were telling me how much you loved me and wanted to get back together and now you’re with the one person that was my best friend. It just feels a little hurtful.”
Of course, there are two sides to all Bachelor Nation drama, and Peter publicly called the Alabama native out after her bombshell interview. “You’d think you’d have a little more respect for this situation given we both know there’s more to the story,” he wrote in a comment on Bachelor Nation Scoop’s Instagram.
The pilot and Kelley haven’t only been receiving shade about their new romance. Former Bachelorette contestant Dustin Kendrick exclusively gushed to Life & Style about the two. “Their interactions are just cute and [they] just conversate all the time,” the 31-year-old, who has been quarantining with the reality couple, explained in early April. “So yeah, I’m excited for you guys to see what I’ve been seeing during this time. Hopefully, you guys do.”
It looks like the future is bright for Kelley and Peter!
