According to local news outlet WPTV, the charges — which include grand theft, possession of marijuana, and filing a false police report — predate her now-viral September 2016 appearance on The Dr.Phil Show.
WPTV reports that several other charges were dropped against the 14-year-old social media star, who will be sentenced next month in a hearing. Since finding fame on the Internet, Danielle and her mother, Barbara Ann — whom she infamously does not get along with — have relocated to Los Angeles to capitalize on the teen’s notoriety.
According to the New York Daily News, Danielle’s estranged dad, Ira Peskowitz, told reporters in Florida that he is concerned about his child’s transition to the West Coast.
"I am the only parent in this relationship with Danielle that is trying to see the best thing for this child," he reportedly said. "To have her be an asset to the community, to understand what love is and to understand what family is about.”
As previously reported, Danielle originally pleaded not guilty to the charges when she appeared in court back in April. In the midst of her legal woes, the Instagram sensation (who has racked up more than 10 million followers) has been attending therapy to focus on bettering herself.
"What we’re hoping is that Dani will continue to get as well as she has been doing," her attorney, Scotty Richardson, said earlier this year. "And by the time we get back to court, there will be a better picture for her than some have tried to portray.”
