The last major role in 50 Shades of Grey has been cast!
Actress Eloise Mumford has won the role of Kate, Anastasia Steele's roommate and best friend. Kate is responsible for Ana first meeting Christian Grey and later begins a romance with his brother. That means that Eloise, who currently stars in the ABC series The River, will have plenty of scenes with Dakota Johnson, who plays Ana, and Luke Grimes, who was recently cast as Elliott Grey.
What Does Charlie Hunnam Think of His '50 Shades of Grey' Replacement Jamie Dornan?
With the addition of Victor Rasuk as Ana and Kate's friend Jose, all that remains for the E.L. James book adaptation is hiring someone to play sexy older woman Elena--Katie Holmes is said to be considering the role, but no one has been confirmed just yet.
After a casting change-up, where original leading man Charlie Hunnam dropped out and was replaced with Once Upon a Time actor Jamie Dornan, the movie's release date was pushed back from August 2014 to December 2015. Filming begins this December in Vancouver, British Columbia.
