Dealing with divorced parents is never easy for children, but Nick Cannon is determined to make the transition for his three-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, as smooth as possible.
While Mariah Carey is staying in her fancy NYC townhouse, the 'America's Got Talent' host recently rented a $11,000 per month mansion in New Jersey, which he believes is a wonderful place to raise his children.
"I mean, it’s another area for family," he told 'Us Weekly.' "To be able to have a lawn and a lake in the back — stuff like that. I grew up in the projects, so I didn’t really get the opportunity to have any of that growing up."

Despite the nasty divorce battle the former lovebirds are reportedly going through — Nick allegedly wants a $50 million slice out of his estranged wife's $500 million fortune — the 34-year-old seems content moving on with his life.
"My kids kind of get to experience both worlds," he added. "They get Manhattan and a little bit of Jersey."
The couple married in 2008 and welcomed their two children in April of 2011. Nick filed for divorce earlier this year after the pair were reportedly living apart for nearly six months.
