Hollywood is mourning the loss of a tremendous talent, Harold Ramis.
The writer-director-actor passed away at the age of 69 this morning from complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease in which the blood vessels swell.
His wife, Erica Mann Ramis, revealed the sad news to the Chicago Tribune, and added he had faced a series of ongoing health complications since 2010.
He leaves behind three children and two grandchildren — as well as countless memorable roles.
Not to mention his many directing and writing gigs, including 1980’s Caddyshack, 1993's Groundhog Day, and 2002's Analyze That.
We’re remembering the lovable and extraordinary star by taking a look at his five most memorable acting roles to date:
1) Russell Ziskey in Stripes (1981)
2) Dr. Egon Spengler in Ghostbusters (1984)
3) And in Ghostbusters II (1989)
4) Don Durkett Orange County (2002)
5) Ben’s Dad Knocked Up (2007)
