The former Bachelor revealed on Good Morning America and Twitter this morning that he and Catherine are tying the knot in January…on TV!
In case you didn't hear, I'm marrying my best friend @clmgiudici Jan 26th! Oh and it's going to be shot live on ABC so you're all invited.— Sean Lowe (@SeanLowe09) October 14, 2013
“I just want it to be fun and show our love,” Catherine, 27, said about their big day on GMA today. “Other than that, I know that it’s going to be a beautiful wedding.”
The duo, who have been together since Sean proposed to the brunette beauty on the season 17 finale of The Bachelor in March, recently celebrated their upcoming nuptials with an engagement party in Seattle.
“They’re really happy together and excited to start their new life,” a friend of the couple’s tells Life & Style.
Life & Style caught up with the reality stars in July and Sean, 29, hinted that they’d wed on TV.
“It certainly has its advantages. As I’ve said a number of times, a free wedding is always a good thing and you can create the wedding of your dreams, all her dreams, then you don’t have to sit back and worry about the budget and freak out about stuff like that,” he said, adding, “We’ve always said our relationship started on TV, so we may as well solidify it on TV. Hopefully we’ll have a date sometime soon.”
After announcing the big news, many of Sean’s pals in the Bachelor world sent kind words his way, including J.P. Rosenbaum, Craig Robinson and Jason Mesnick.
In June, Sean told Life & Style that he and Catherine want to have children, but “it’ll probably be a few years” before they start a family.
But on GMA, he said they want to have five children — and plan on starting within the next year and a half!
